so I've just recently decided to use myBB after our old forums decided to break. I think it was an sql error in the old db, but whatever that doesn't matter.

I convernted the old phpBB 3 forum over to myBB 1.4 using the beta conversion utility. I didn't have many problems converting anything. But now there are absolutely NO images. none at all anymore. I'm not quite sure what I did Sad

I did move some files around, but I thought I restored everythign to the way it needed to be (tried to move it down a directory, and everything was still linked, oops) But, none of the images were working before I did that, just fyi.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated, we like pretty forums at HOB.

the following url shows that your images folder was not uploaded properly...no images at all in fact

so download a new package of MyBB or extract from the one you downloaded and reupload the images folder to your forum root...choose overwrite or skip whatever

wow, thanks for the awesome response time on that

I re-uploaded the images *oops, forgot to move them back*

but still, now i'm back to the original problem I had after the conversion. the backgrounds aren't showing up properly Sad

nor is the text formatted right, I'm pretty sure things shouldn't be on left align.

is there any chance that some of the old css from phpbb 3 got swapped onto the data that was transferred and is overwriting things?

mind you, I did use the beta convert util. I know how beta's work. Smile

Did you take a look at the links I posted?
And if the images aren't showing up, CHMOD them tp 755, then to 644.

the css is the problem after uploading them the images did show up but then the bg and other css is not

hmm could be the problem ...

open admincp->themes-> your theme -> global.css

then choose advanced mode and post the contents here

99% of the time that's the case. I also need to edit the tutorials that Clair linked to, I did that quite a while ago and missed off the bit about the CHMOD Rolleyes

I edited my above post slightly, it could be missing CSS, but I haven't seen anyone with that problem for ages.
