i am on the irc but no one seams to respond
Your settings are completely wrong. The URL you gave is http://www.howman.dyndns.info/mybb/ but your board URL setting is http://localhost/MyBB which is totally wrong.

Open ./inc/settings.php, change your board URL setting to http://www.howman.dyndns.info/mybb, your cookie domain to .howman.dyndns.info and your cookie path to /mybb/

Then do that again in ACP > Configuration > General Configuration.

Why your cookie domain was 'Cookie' I'll never know...

Also, you're using 1.4, so I also don't know why you posted this in the 1.2 forum.
sorry about posting it in the wrong place guess i was not watching what i was doing i did change it but after you click the botton to set it it asks me for my logon and password again

Yes, if you follow my instructions, and edit the file correctly first, you'll stop that.

Looks like it's ok now Smile

It seems you edited some of the settings during the installation process - for future reference, the board URL and cookie settings should be left as they are when installing to avoid problems.
Thank you that worked
it is always somthing simple
can you do me a favior and see if i have and scrutry risks this is my frist time doing this and i am sure i messed up some where
There's nothing you can really do to make a security risk, but maybe read this: http://community.mybboard.net/thread-9991.html

Clear your browser's cookies and try again.
