You can create custom profile fields in admincp and make it required and even hidden (from other members). The custom profile field supports dropdown choice menus I believe just fine.

For #2...As far as I know there is only My Awards that I have available at Mybb Central but be aware my plugins require a $5 yearly subscription service to access all the downloads. You can read more here:
