Is it possible to make a theme I'm developing only accessible to certain groups? (such as my forum team?)

Not without some kind of mod. It can be done easy with the plugin system.

Anybody willing? Sounds like something MyBB really should have, I mean, my designer is working on a theme for an upcoming release of my site, and as of now, if members look on the theme list in their User CP, they can see it..I'd really like to get rid of that ability of theirs..
