Is there a way to create a usergroup for donors etc..., independent of post count?

Yes, just create a new usergroup... or is there more to this??

Oops I meant User Title (Newbie, Junior Member etc).

Then no, unless you put them in a usergroup that has a different user title and not allow them to change it, I don't think you can.

You can change them on a per user base too.
