Just re-upload the install directory?
Or create an install folder, and add a lock file.
It's actually a bit odd that's it's saying it's there when it clearly isn't but maybe do try and upload it again and place an empty file in it called 'lock'.
you know what's weird though, when i installed my forum, i didn't even need to delete the install folder, it's currently in my root folder still..

The installer tries to place the lock file in it if it can, but not all servers can do that. Chances are the installer automatically put the lock file in there.
oh, true.. i didn't read my host's information about any of that..and ya it did place a "lock" file in there..
