I've searched this forum for a solution, and I saw a post that speaks of such a bridge...but I can't find it. 
Does it exist? or is it this one that's in development? http://community.mybboard.net/thread-39567.html
EDIT: OK...I've figured out how to connect the usernames/usergroups with the info from this thread: http://community.mybboard.net/thread-40454-page-1.html
So I'm guessing there really isn't a "bridge" file, but instead a tweak that needs to be done. I'm also guessing the plug-ins in development transfers more than just user accounts (i.e. themes).
