I know there's a reader for PDF files, Adobe Reader - but is there a program I can use(that's free) to create PDF files? I've searched and only found paid ones. Thanks.

I was looking at that today(I had to update Java), but I wasn't sure if it had a creater.
Try CutePDF Writer 2.6. Not sure if it's what you're looking for.. but I think so.

Open Office is probably the best to use. Full document word processor with save as PDF ability.
Or why not use PrimoPDF - acts as a printer driver so you can create a PDF out of anything you can print...
Photoshop can create .PDF's... so I betcha GIMP can, too.
I toss my vote in for PrimoPDF. Any format you can open in a program that prints can store a working PDF file. Create PDFs in HTML, Word, MS Paint (ew), practically anywhere. Plus, IIRC, it's free.
