I guess I'd like a little more transparency on what's going on with the Dev team. It gets a bit discouraging to hear no buzz about new releases or whatnot because the average user has no idea what is actually going on...

I think the reason behind this is because many of the developers are very busy developing, and many don't find the need to post every change they make, or a note about every little thing added or modified.

I don't think that anyone expects a running list of minor changes (until we read the changelog Toungue) but it would be nice to post some bigger things, or what MyBB is looking to do coming up.

Being a developer I know that users just get more antsy when you start saying "We're going to be doing X in the next release", and then they start bugging us saying "when's the next version going to be released??" and we simply say "When it's ready" - as simple as it gets. You'll have to see if Ryan Gordon or one of the other developers posts to see why noone posts on the blog, as I don't have the ability to and I'm not a developer on the MyBB project.

Kind Regards,
TomL
We really don't have anything really "major" going on right now. There are some bug fixes, but there's nothing new development wise. When we get done with some of the new features for 1.6, I'm sure we'll update the blog with them. (Remember, we have no projected time for the release of 1.6)
There are plans to use the MyBB Blog for more than development reasons - things like guides / tutorials and different things from MyBB - but I'm not too sure how far along that is.

In the mean time, you can always check out the Included Suggestions / Feedback forum and the MyBB Ideas section of the website for an insight into popular / upcoming ideas...
Tom is right - We really don't have the time and figuring out what to post is sometimes a bit difficult. Any questions people would like answered?

That was already covered before. I think in Part 3 of the MyBB 1.4 blog posts
