After a lot of thought I realize that the idea I was wanting to use initially just isn't going to be easy to get started with, so I've made some changes. I realized the design of the site just didn't fit well with the topics I had wanted so I've changed this to a 'design' forum. I think it fits the theme a little better atleast. I've also made quite a few changes since the first beta release a few days ago.

Hm. Not too bad. Might I suggest adding valign="top" to the <td> elements though for the forum display. If you collapse all of the left-hand boxes, they go to the bottom.

Not sure if it's how you designed it, but there's no on/off images.
For the main forum?... Working fine for me... Or are you speaking of the icon Legend that is supposed to be at the bottom?

Which icons are you referring to though? The ones that show up next to the title...
or the legend below the forums the tell you what they're for?
