I've seen a fair amount mentioned here about chatrooms such as flashchat and wondered if someone could help me out by suggesting what are the advantages of such an option over a shoutbox? (Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've long been confused about whether a chatroom is a better option than a shoutbox and what the merits of these 2 options are).
I regard it as helpful if people DON'T have to re-register for a chatroom, as I think a lot of users wouldn't bother with it if they have to register again (in fact I KNOW some of my users wouldn't).
