i've a mybb forum hosted at byethost. when i try to get into any part or category of the forum, it takes me to: http://my-webs.org/notify/1.php


i dont know, any idea??

Check your board URL setting is correct. Or it may be the SEO URLs that you have turned on. Is htaccess.txt called .htaccess instead??
Turn off Friendly URLs - it might be effecting it. It seems this webpage is similar to a 404?

I think it, quite a few free hosts have this sort of thing instead of an actual 404 page.

that works, tanks, but what exactly does friendly urls? and what is SEO URLs?
It's something that you would have specifically turned on in the ACP, just makes the URLs a bit neater.
http://my-webs.org/notify/1.php is the default 404 page for webhosts and resellers that are hosted on Bytehost. The only way to get around this is to use a .htaccess file.

Yeah. I do that on my localhost server for more advanced errors
I have a custon file called 404.shtml in my forum root that shows when there's a 404 error (example), that might work.
