I am trying to make a member of my forums an Admin and get the following message:

Quote:The following errors were encountered:

*The username you entered already exists. Please enter a different username.
*The password you entered as confirmation does not match the original one. Please confirm your password correctly.

I have another set of forums and had no issues making another member an Admin. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Edit: When I go to their Profile tab it puts my name in place of theirs in the Username field.

You need to make sure not to change either the username or password(s) fields, or it will give you this error.

Profile Tab:

Make sure username is HIS/HER username.

Clear BOTH password fields and try again.

That's just your browser putting in your saved details. Type their current username in the username field, and leave the password fields blank and you'll be fine.
