Hello,

i am not realy happy with the default mybb design, so i have a suggestion about a new default design for upcomming releases.

Well what are the points I want to have changed:

1. No <table> in html code
2. Important thinks are easyer to find when there are only contrast colours / icons where they are needed
3. No background images for a faster load
4. Optimize it for SEO with <h1>,<h2>,... tags

Ive attached my suggestion. Whats you oppinon?

While I agree that MyBB needs a serious appearance revamp, this doesn't even resemble MyBB.

I like the colors, but it's too plain. Also, I'm sure once there's a major release it will be redesigned - but I could be wrong.

That would be kinda cool, but tweaked to a MyBB standard, imo... It doesn't exactly match what MyBB offers, imo. I guess it's just one of those unexplainable things to say that...

I'm not liking it, sorry. The icons are cool though.

but I like the tableless, H1 usage and contrast ideas

Plain or not, i thinks thats not the important point. Of course in this concept I only show a section of the theme. I am shure the effect will be different if there is not only blank white arround the table.

Another point I would suggest are PNG icons which are 100% transparent and maybe a little style switcher for the default design (maybe in green, red, ...) which only loads a different css style with 2-3 changed classes.

I think it's been mentioned that there's no major changes to the default style in MyBB 1.6. But that shouldn't stop you from making your own "default" theme and redistributing it
