i remember reading a plugin which will covert "index.php?topic=" to "index/mytopicurl", which helps google to crawl faster. So i remember that i read the entire description, but sounded little confusing to me, can any one help me out for that?
Well it wouldn't be index/mytopicurl, but it would be

If that is what you mean, just rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess, and go to Admin CP > Configuration, and look through the settings groups for a setting that's like "Enable SEF url's?" and there's 3 options - Automatic, Enabled, Disabled; choose Enabled.

No, the MyBB SEF URLs isn't a plugin, it's just a setting
