I am curious to know what are the top 10 plugins everyone should have on their forum?
Also, while I am at it, how good is the SEO plugin? I would use it on MyBB 1.4.

Spicefuse SEO Plugin is good to my needs (nice URLs), but you must get in mind that some plugins and functions won´t work with it.
- Posts url like "http://community.mybboard.net/thread-46122-post-320134.html#pid320134" get useless
- "Show Online Today" plugin don´t work simultaneously with it
- And if you try use "Merge threads" with SEO url won´t work too - must be "\showthread.php?tid=xxxx"

Force Users To Read Threads (2.0) This enables you to ship an entire usergroup to a custom URL on their next page load. Good for rules updates and important stuff. Or to mess with them. You can send 1 user also, rather than groups.
I don't yet run a mybb forum (I will while) but this is what I Value:
-jabber notification <- awesome
-"see new replies to my posts" <- don't know if it already exists
-miniSQL <- simple and powerful, all I ever wanted
-ad rotation and placement
-topic lists <- lists topics of a specified forum in one single post alphabetically, this I will implement myself
Personally I look at organic traffic as a way of getting a bit of incoming that can be used in favor to the community, therefore a SEOed forum is important to me. I think I'll give the SEO modula a try too. Friendly urls are not only a mater of seo, I think they're more user friendly too.
I think that's about it, I am not so found of bloating a forum with too much functionality.
Ya, I agree with the functionality part.. which is why most of my plugins are disabled. Just because it exists and works doesn't mean you need it installed.
I just stick with the basic necessities really.
