Greetings,

Can anyone please make a torrent system for MyBB? An integrated torrent tracker?
It's been asked before and there doesn't appear anyone willing to take on the project.
Yep you are right, and its strange no one is willing to do this project in spite of the popularity of torrents.
Well, maybe know one has time to do it.
Why not just use a normal download system?....

Cause your server needs to host the downloads perhaps?

Despite their popularity it's difficult to find a host that won't shut you down just for having a tracker at all. Also it's not simple to create. I looked into it already. It's doable but it will be a massive plugin. Probably one of the largest for mybb if it were around.

So despite the popularity. I very much doubt this will be made. I would do it as paid custom work if the money was right though.

There are already good torrent tracker site software available that should cover everything you need. They won't be mybb but they are very functional and featured for use with torrents already.

Yes, but P2P works quite differently to standard HTTP transfers.

Yeah, that's true.
