I use this in every forums I attend to. Even if vBulletin, phpBB, SMF or something (but of course, the image has to be linked).
I'm very used to this. I also saw forums which only have a toplink to the index, for those who are used to this method (clicking the banner) it's kinda hard.

So what about you?

I just about always do, if you didn't have a link with the logo, what's the point honestly..?

I just click on a link in my nifty bookmarks toolbar.

It's basically a key, or a combination of two keys, that when you type it/them it does a certain function.

I just type the domain in the browser. I do use the logo, it's definitely a lot easier.

I use "forum jump" links the most.
