how do i make it so u need to register before ur able to view the forums?
ACP -> Users and Groups -> Groups -> Guests -> Forum and Posts -> Can view boards?/Can view threads?
You can pick between Can view boards?/Can view threads?
I was thinking a box would show up saying login or register before viewing these forums like vb and smf
That's exactly what they'll see if you don't give them permission to view the board.
I clicked Forums & Posts but I don't see anything close or like 'Can view boards?/Can view threads?'
No it's the Forums and Posts tab in the usergroup settings, not the main Forum & Posts tab.
i'm under Users & Groups still no Forums and Posts
does the mybb version make a difference?
