If I wanted to block users who are coming in from a proxy, and show them specifically a message, how could that be done.

Through use of a plugin most likely would be your best bet.

Can you tell me why block them (for my own interest). For one(1), if the user comes from a network based on Microsoft SBS 2003 (probably his/hers workplace) it, usually, has a build-in ISA firewall/proxy. Another thing I noticed recently is that, some, ISPs use a transparent proxy for there users. In both cases (and there are more), the users/guests will be stopped. Do you want this?
