Ive just installed mybb and I can login to the admin panel fine. When I was installing mybb I set forum website to www.mydomain.com/forum, however when I visit this address or click on the 'view forum' link in the admin control panel i get a 'page not found' page. Any ideas what the problem could be?
An actual URL may be of use... are you sure you changed the website URL, and not the board URL?? Double check the board URL is correct.
The url of the forum is http://www.longtermwinners.co.uk/forum, this is the page that loads if i press 'view forum' in the admin control panel.
Are you sure all the files are uploaded and in the right directories??
i presume so as the admin control panel works fine, i didnt mess with any files, just followed what it said in the wiki regarding installing.
Well, the fact that there's nothing at the link you gave, no online.php, no memberlist.php, no search.php, either means they're not uploaded properly, or there's something up with the host.
also in the admin section, i created some test forums. and if i input the url as http://www.longtermwinners.co.uk/mybb/index.php i can get it to appear with these forums although it does not look correct and many of the links such as 'login', 'register', 'search', etc.. bring you to a page not found.
Ugh, why did you give a URL to ./forums/ if it's actually at ./mybb/?? Useful....

It looks like your board URL is wrong. As I said in my first post, make sure the board URL setting goes to /mybb/ and not /forums/
Ok cool. Im a total newb when it comes to forums unfortunately. How do i change my board URL, where abouts can I find it?
