Is it really a bug? I figured it was just to prevent flooding the page.
I would think it is suppose to look like 1...45678...12. To me it seems to show pages surrounding the page you are on and then the first and last page of the thread.
It's reproducible but it doesn't seem like a bug and more so an intended implementation.
This isn't a bug, but it's still not the really correct behavior '1' and '2' are consequent numbers so '...' shouldn't occur between them.

Looks normal to me. Sure between 1 and 2 there doesn't have to be dots but it's not harmful either.
Judging from the way it's being presented, it actually does look right, although wrong at the same time. It shows the current page and the two higher and the two lower ones. The first and last are shown with ... as a separator, and because 1 is beyond the 2, it is shown with the separator.
If that makes any sense.
Moving this to suggestions, seeing as the majority of people think that it's simply a cosmetic opinion.
