Hello,

I have installed a new version of MyBB 1.4.4 successfully, but within the admin control panel no buttons are shown (see attachment).

Nevertheless it is possible to click on the "invisible" buttons, so I guess the apropriate button images can´t be found.

Outside the admin control panel all buttons seem to be shown correctly.

So how can I fix that?

You need to upload the language files again that come with the package.

Upload ./inc/languages again and you'll see the text and buttons.

uploading languages files didn´t solve the problem, but chmod of /inc/languages/english/admin/ to 777 did.

(although the installation guide suggested 666 for that folder)

The files can be 666 so you can edit them in the ACP, the folder itself needs to be the standard 755, won't work if that's 666.
