Hey everyone,

I was wondering if MyBB will ever be included in 'Fantastico', the automatic script installer included with most copies of Cpanel. I'm guessing it's a possability when MyBB Gold (or the first non-beta version) is out.

Is the MyBB team interested in having MyBB being included in Fantastico? And if so, does it cost anything to have it put in there, or would the makers of Cpanel most likely contact you about it and ask for it to be in there?

I'm just curious about this because it seems like a lot of different forum softwares have gotten to the top of the charts due to a large part of just being included in the Fantastico auto-installer.

Regards,
Andy

yeah thats true, look at phpbb and smf.
yea, when mybb goes gold, the creators should try and get it in there.. itll be big in no time.
That really does sound like a good idea. All that has to be done (from my understanding) is Chris has to contact cpanel and they'll add it to next release of Fantastico.
Yes, that is certainly a good idea. phpBB and SMF both blew up on the fact that it was easily accessable in the cPanel. This idea will really get the word out on myBB.
Yeah and also with it's features, it absolutely KILLS SMF and phpBB, in all honesty. I would love it MyBB was in Fantastico.
Is it that Fantastico tasks submissions for it's software or that it asks? They might charge people to put it in rather than take submissions on what to include. Not sure how they work.

But I agree, it would do wonders for MyBB if it got included.
It should take phpBB's place. That software is terrible.
its already on the possible list for v3 of fantastico.

Damn straight!
I think as soon as the Gold edition is released, MyBB is going to have many windows or opportunity open. And if what the others have said is correct, that includes placement in Cpanel.
