Hey. I have some questions that are probably easy to do, but no idea how to go about them.
1. I'd like the vertical postbit layout. any idea how to make this default?
2. How do I completely get rid of the redirects?

Well, I am not very good with MyBB yet, and have no experience with phpmyadmin.
You don't need experience in either really, it's a case of removing some template code, adding some in, and copying and pasting a line of text into phpMyAdmin. Which bit is it you're having trouble with??

Actually MyBB template edit system is quite simple as it can be done easily

Click your database from the list on the left and then the SQL tab.
