Hi, i didnt know where to post this, but i want to ask where can i find a web developer server suit, where i can test mybb before i put it on a live site.

i currently have Web Developer Server Suite which i used to develop phpBB2. but somehow it doesnt work with mybb.

so does anyone know any otehr great software like the one above that works with mybb, or how do you guys test and design your mybb forums before you put it on a live site.

You can get Xampp from apachefriends.org.... easy to install and use and works with MyBB because that's what I use.

I second this.

I had to work with a local windows install of apache / mysql / php too when I converted from a proprietary forum system to mybb. wampserver worked better for me (and comes with a much more user friendly interface) than xamp.

Alternatively you could sign up with a free host like bplaced.net

Yeah, I'd say use WAMP if you just want to use something simple and easy and XAMPP if you want more features and more 'involvement'...

No problem. XAMPP is pretty good, and should work fine.
