My Admin Panel looks wierd:

I blurred the bottom and top parts on purpose. But the admin panel doesn't have the links on the left and the texts won't show up
Reupload the ./inc/languages again. That will fix it.
Specifically the ./inc/languages/english/admin/ folder.
Not sure how so many people manage to not upload these files...
one of the filezilla versions had a bug that didnt upload all files...its fixed in the latest version tho ...

Which version of file zilla, ?? I have installed one of them, but didnot know what is the version of that ?
if you have the latest stable release it should be fine ... i think it was version 3.1 something if i remember correctly ...
