Ok, well this time I installed a new theme [followed a guide to import the .xml file, then uploaded the 'darko' folder through FTP and stated the location of the images and the logo]

But when I refresh the page after setting it to default, the only thing appearing is the logo?

Is it not reading the right directory or something for the forum images? I do it like you're supposed to [according to the guide].

For image directory I have: /Darkness
and for logo I have: /Darkness/logo.gif

Also: when I go to:

It shows the logo, but when I go to:

http://www.kxprogramming.netau.net/Darkness/

It just redirects back to the site? Is that bad?

Are you sure that's a 1.4 theme??

There's no CSS mentioned in the source code, and the JS version is 1212...

It's meant to do that.

I had to check the "use this theme anyway" box?

I thought it would still work. [Guide said check the box, it works anyway]

Well, was the theme made for 1.4?? Where did you get it from??

It wasn't made for 1.4

Also, the layout thingy you import is .xml

I'm going to test one now [made for 1.4]

That's why it isn't working then, 1.2 themes will break on 1.4.

No, it's still not importing the images from the directory:

/images/BlackAndGrey/blackandgrey/

although the logo will work:

/images/BlackAndGrey/blackandgrey/logo.gif

Compare them, the original [look @ preview]:

You don't need the / at the start or end if the image path. The path needs to be this: images/blackandgrey

if the theme wasnt made for 1.4 it wont work properly like matt said unless you update the theme for 1.4 urself

edit : just re-read are you saying the 1.4 one doesnt work ?
