Would like some help on how to remove the mybb footer, "Powered By MyBB, © 2002-2009 MyBB Group."

You can remove that from the footer template in the ACP.
Please note that if you remove this you will not be able to receive support on these forums.
err thats not allowed ! you are using free software whats wrong having a link back to the developers ! its the least you can do for getting such awesome support and software for FREE !

Don't be so selfish. Leave it in the footer. You think your members care about who developed your forum? No... It's about the content you show them, not the Powered By... links.

From the footer template, just remove this:
{$lang->powered_by} <a href="http://www.mybboard.net" target="_blank">MyBB{$mybbversion}</a>, © 2002-{$copy_year} <a href="http://www.mybboard.net" target="_blank">MyBB Group</a>.
But once you do that, you won't get any support. Sorry.

You remove it from any footer template you may have.
May I ask, just out of curiosity, why you want to remove it??
