I've seen this on these forums, so this is a 'possible' pre-1.4.5 issue, but when you click the pagination inside a thread, this is the URL:
thread-X-page-Y.html?mode=linear
That bold bit wasn't there in 1.4.4, is it meant to be there now?? Just seems a bit odd to have the thread mode in the URL if it isn't being changed, all you're doing is going to another page.
