when i go to admincp i am required to login over and over again for every page I wish to view. It won't stay loggin in. I checked the cookies in the admin panel and it is set exactly as it is supposed to be set. Any other ideas of what might be causing this??
I also seem to be experiencing some sort of issue in logging in. I log in and it says I am logged in, but at the top of the screen it says "hello guest login" and there is no logout button. I do not believe I am actually logged in as I cannot post to the forums.
Anybody?? The cookies are showing exactly what was spelled out in the docs.

Ok, i checked the settings on ie, and yes it was set incorrectly, i restarted IE and did not make any difference. I am running this on windows 2003 server, my settings for users must be okay as it will take a new signup just fine so it is writing, i am using the "read and execute, list, and read" for users. Do you know if this is equivalent to chmod 666. Maybe this is the problem, will this application run on windows? At this point I cannot get logged in, cannot post obviously, and cannot stay logged in on admincp. I know it is writing as I can sign up as a new user and it takes it. I can reprint the cookies but they were there by default and they are exactly what was shown in docs.
Any other ideas??

the above source code is correct for my site. Also i tried this in firefox and no different. It must have something to do with windows environment, is anyone running this on windows so I will know if I am spinning my wheels??

Try changing the cookie setting to .my3bc.com - instead of .www.my3bc.com
That was the problem someone else had with their site after I set it up for them. Thought it might be the problem here.
i just tried it on both, same thing, won't let me login. I can login on my test site at
http://compu-wise.com/mybb over and over, no failure. i have three computers side by side and having same response on all on the
http://my3bc.com/mybb on all three computers, but on the compu-wise.com it works on all three. so i know it is not browser settings or cookies. it is something else.

It has to be the cookie settings, mate. Do you get any errors on the screen when you try to login?
