I've already completed the first 5 steps and uploaded all the files etc. but I'm stuck on stop 6: 'Go to www.yourdomain.com/forumfolder/install/upgrade.php'

What exactly does this mean? I don't really get it.

Hey,

Just go to wherever your forum is located (say, http://www.houndoomed.com/forum/) and add /install/upgrade.php to the end of the url. That's the page for the upgrade process.

If you're only now just upgrading to 1.4, that's why that other plugin was giving you an error, you can't use a 1.4 plugin on a 1.2 forum....
