I've been having a ton of problems uploading my avatars. Before, I was able to upload a 100x100 avatar, but now, I can't get it to upload an 81x81 avatar! The only size that seemed to work was an image that was 88x16.

All my CHMOD files are writable and the file types I'm using are accepted.

When I upload it directly from the computer, the images seem to be too large. And when I try to upload it from Photobucket/Tinypic, the images are apparently invalid, though they are.

CHMOD the avatars folder to 777.

It already is CHMOD. What else should I do?

Are you sure it's CHMOD 777 though? I see you only said writeable; they have to be read/write/execute.

Is there any error when you try to upload it? Have you checked your file/folder OWNERSHIP permissions?

Yes, I've checked and the permissions are all correct. Does anyone else know what is wrong?

have you set the avatar settings to suit your needs in the acp ?
