Is that possible? I mean...I figure it's possible but is it a small change that might allow this. Such as if the cache isn't there (mysql restart) then it will build automatically. Just curious on the effect if the table is heap as that might actually speed up processing and imho the datacache should be as fast as possible.

Let me know if I am on to something as I am always looking to optimize.

I use xcache now but on my shared hosting sites I don't have that option. So running the table as heap might work best in that scenario.

You'd have to go in and manual rebuild the caches within the ACP if the table crashed.
