I think that, MyBB Management team might want to develop a guide on skinning. Its hard to skin. You don't know where to start.
Next, Marcos, how do we edit the marcos ? There have been no guide on how to edit the marcos, what I did was go into the forum directory and overwrite the images.
Why should they give you a guide to skinning? It's pretty straight forward. Do IPS or vBulletin give you a guide? No, because it's not their business.

I think xiaozhu means more of a guide on how the theme and template system works.
I know css and html and it still took me a while to figure out how to do the skinning since it was my first time skinning a forum through an admin panel like mybb has. In the past I just edited the files directly and stuff (a major pain in the butt).
It's probably something a community member could do instead of having the devs spend time on it.

They don't but at least their skinning are quite straightforward.
And MyBB skins aren't? They have the easiest theme system I've used.
