When you merge, what gets merged? Is it the member list? All the posts and thread? What gets merged

Also, I was thinking of buying a established forum, merge their database with my own and then use the domain as a sub domain (or whatever) so the old established forum domain will forward to my forum. Will that work?

Depends on the forum software your converting from. If you install the merge system and select your forum software you'll see a list of what you can convert.
