just got a problem with the upgrade. it doesn't go through.
it just stops after "Performing necessary upgrade queries..".
does anybody know where the problem is? i increased the max_execution_time in the php.ini, but the problem is still there.

What's your PHP, MySQL, and old MyBB version??
My php version is : PHP Version 5.2.6
My old MyBB version is : MyBB 1.4.4
My current mysql version is : MySQL 5.0.45
Try and download the full 1.4.5 package from the downloads page again and upload the ./install/ folder and it's contents. Just saw a bug report about a similar thing so it's worth a shot.
I've already done this, but it didn't work either.
I have the same problem with my forum when I try to update form version 1.4.4 to 1.4.8
My php version is : PHP Version 5.2.9
My old MyBB version is : MyBB 1.4.4
My current mysql version is : MySQL 5.0.81-community
I have deactivated all addons and waited for about 20-30 minutes. My database has about 10 MB. I also tried with the install folder from the full package but the update still stops after "Performing necessary upgrade queries..".
Later: I've solved the problem, it was my mistake, I've only used the files from changed_files_1408.zip, instead of copying the entire myBB 1.4.8. I am sorry for bothering you.
