Hi all,

Whilst browsing through the MyBB files I noticed that if the install directory is kept locked after installation it is possible to enter MyBB in development mode. What does this allow to happen

What's 'development mode'...??

I always thought it was so when you made changes to the files, you could check that a clean install has the changes you've just made in...

Hmmm ok little worried I will find the file(s) and lines it is reffered to and post them up

There's nothing really to be worried about. A user can't switch your board to development mode. It's quite useful in template management though...

ok does it allow Admin to do anything else?

There is not such thing as 'development mode'.

During development of 1.4, 1.6, etc we use a variable in $config to make templates parse directly from ./install/mybb_theme.xml instead of the database, but that is it.
