But I would like to use buttons like this:




What file controls this area and has anyone had experience in altering it?

You haven't uploaded the images for the button. Make sure all the images in the themes english folder are uploaded.

I dont seem to have an english folder with this skin? I have uploaded all files that came with the skin.

They don't all come with one so until you can find some green buttons, copy the default ./images/english/ folder to the folder with the theme images.
