I have just taken over an old 1.2 version MyBB forum. It seems that a moderator has access to moderator logs, but I cannot fathom how. The moderators do not have access to the Admin CP and I cannot see how else they get the logs. Can anyone explain this mystery for me? Thanks.
Do you have the Mod CP plugin installed?? That has an option for mod logs.

No, I don't see to have any plugins. Nothing shows up in the Plugin Manager.
Could you perhaps ask the mod where they're getting them from....??
Yes it looks like that's my only option (I was trying to avoid the embarrassment).

It's a supermoderator by the way who can see the logs. I don't know if that makes any difference, as the supermoderator group doesn't have access to the Admin CP.
I had a similar problem and it ended up, that I had not uploaded the modcp.php file. I don't think thats it!
There is no modcp file on 1.2 Sleepy
