is there actually a way to see how many referals a user has received in say the last 20 minutes or w.e?

The referrals system is designed to show how many people a member referred in the time they have been on the forum, not in 20 minutes.
Yeah I don't think they actually do anything right now (is there even a count of referrals??) but there are plugins that make use of it, and I think improvements for it have been been discussed for 1.6 somewhere in the suggestions forum.
where are these plugins? and i want it so i know how many referals someone has received in a specific time..
for a competition you may say, the person with the most referals wins etc
