Plugin Description: Admincp setting for allowing certain groups to self close their own threads. An image next to the New Reply button will only appear to the original thread creator, if they have permission, and only if the thread is not already locked. This will not effect any regular moderator functions. Members cannot reopen threads once closed.

I was designing such plugin and it only hooked to showthread page , It was no Button right. no individual permissions, only group permissions, BUT now , labrocca did it like a charm

I didn't want to add that as an option. If it's really in demand then maybe next version I will consider it.

I think it would be a nice addition but even better would be a setting which we could use to turn that off

Yes maybe as a setting it would be nice. But I wonder if more permissions won't be added to Mybb 1.6. It's imho an issue that so few group permissions exist.
