Hi,

I am in the process of preparing to upgrade my forum from ver 1.2.13 to 1.4.6

I have read over the instructions for the upgrade and believe I understand what is needed. One question I have is, instead of doing the CHMOD after the files are uploaded to my host, could the file and folder permissions be changed before upload to the host? If not, why? I hope I don’t come off as too ignorant, just curious. Huh

I guess it’s my curious nature, and the fact that it would be easier for me to do it locally than through my hosts control panel.
