hi ...
lately i was trying to find a nice solution to adding a cms to my mybb forum..purely just to effectively distribute my 'plugins' - [ called that for the apparent lack thereof for the time being] - ...anyway i began to notice that getting to integrate with mybb to a core and acceptable level was a lot of hard work
in my effort to get mediawiki to work with mybb i began on a project to create my very own MyBB CMS fork ---
please note that i am unable to give this project 100% of my time -- i do have a job -- but i do work on it quite a bit...
more info will be posted here soon...just wanted to start this thread and see if people would respond/appreciate such a project..
i am also aware of a litebulletin cms and having tried it ..it did not live up to expectations..
IMHO features of a good cms [ - feel free to add -]
think JOOMLA - MYBB STYLE
anyway free to add your comments on my project ..will add links to beta's and previews when available

- Good integration - themes,threads,posts, USERS, LOGIN
- strong admin panel - integrated or standalone
- option of poll seperate from thread ones
- calendar etc integration
