I started a new forum but this time I am running it in combination with a homepage that I have created with html. The homepage is made up of a file called index.html and the forum is in a folder called forum. Can someone please tell me how to integrate my forum into the homepage so when a user clicks the forum link it will be integrated inside the front page? I would really appreciate it if someone would show me how. I have heard that I need to use iframe but I don't know how and where to put the codes.

Your best bet would be to edit your forum's design to match your site's design.

If you dont want to fiddle with Iframes it can be a good idea to have the forum opening on its own page, depending on the look & how many pages you already have in your site.
