This is a thread about the downloads addon for MyBB.

Description:
This is a great download addon, it provides you a downloadcategory for your MyBB.
You can easily add and edit stuff in this download section, you can add internal and external linking, add screenshots and passwords for registered users or subscribers and lock downloads to be invisible!
The downloadaddon automatically counts every download and generates thumbnails to reduce traffic from your preview screens.

Included features:
- Full MyBB integration with design + members (login, registration all via MyBB)
- Internal and external downloadlinks possible
- Hide passwords for downloads and/or downloadlinks to guests/non-subscribers
- Easy administration via MyBB
- Unlimited downloads in categories, subcategories and subsubcategories possible
- Easy deactivation (hiding) and activation of single downloads possible

I don't understand why you don't use the activate() and deactivate() functions to do the installation :/

To keep the addons more independent from MyBB

That doesn't make any sense, they are for MyBB :/ Aren't they?

They are but I saw a lot of people moved from board software to software and had to give up there old plugins.
With my addons this should be possible.

It also offers the option to run the plugin in another database.
Did you ever have 100.000 lyrics and a huge MyBB stored in the same database?
I tried it - horrible
