This is a thread about the lyrics addon for MyBB.

Description:
This is a big addon.
Every user can create lyrics to songs (not limited). He can add a link to a youtube video containing the song (will be displayed as embedded video!).
Last 5 written lyrics are listed in profile.
You can add name, interpret and description to every song.
Songlyrics can be edited and deleted via admin and author.
Lyrics can be sorted by artist or genre (120+ genres allready included, editable).

Included features:
- Full MyBB integration with design + members (login, registration all via MyBB)
- Automatic youtube video embedd
- Easy administration via MyBB
- Unlimited lyrics possible
- Rating feature - every member can rate every song once.
- Find all lyrics by one author
- [NEW] Browse all artists by first letter of the name (Click here for example)

Of course this addon is not usefull for every board but I saw some having external scripts for lyrics and there were some requests for this one...

well I think you should be able to set it up yourself
But there are a lot of people out there that can not use HTML or Phpmyadmin.
What you have to do to set this up:
- Uploading files
- Entering database connection into 1 php file (cause you can use a seperate database for the addon but don't have to)
- Adding MySQL tables via Phpmyadmin (no install script so far but I can provide SQL of course)
- Activating a MyBB-Plugin and do two template edits (Adding {$var} where you want it to appear and doing menu entry)

If you feel able to do that yourself you don't need me to set it up
I just experienced that a lot of people aren't experienced even with HTML but running Mybboards and it's horrible to understand every little step 7 times to somebody and he still doesn't get it

I just updated this addon with a new feature:

I got a request for WYSIWYG for the textarea (lyrics text) and will add it to the addon if you wish. HTML or BB-Code possible.
