Hi,

I'm new to this software and am having a problem in using the Admin console.
I can sign in successfully and navigate round the top level menus.
However, if I click one of the submenu option (left menu) I get a HTTP 406 Internet Explorer cannot read this webpage format.

Let me clarify.
url .../myBB/admin/index.php?module=forum works
but
url .../myBB/admin/index.php?module=forum/announcements doesn't

I have double checked the permissions on the folders as per the install guide, but they are all ok.
I have even removed the 'Admin' folder and copied it back to the web server with the same problem.

Any ideas?

Does it only happen in IE??

I have just tries in Firefox and Chrome and get the same problem.

Thread 42160 seems to be if you are having problems with the entire CP, I'm only having problems with the sub levels of configuration.

Would this still point to security at the host?

Thought it may be worth mentioning another issue I have.
I have also got a test web server running WinXP, SP3 with Apache, MySql and PHP.
I have installed it on there so I can run some more tests.
On this machine, I need to sign into the CP everytime I click a button.

Same again, I have tried IE, Firefox and Chrome with the same results.
Also from different machines running Vista Untimate, Business & XP Pro

It's pretty much the same thing, an error when using the ACP, probably is still related, yeah.

The signing in thing will be a cookie issue and there's a separate sticky for that.
