I am just trying to make the colour of the top and bottom border of a link fade from white to another colour when the mouse hovers over it but i have tried everything i can think of and everything i can find on the net with no results.

Can anyone give me any advice or an answer?

There isn't a way within jQuery to fade between different colors. There's a plugin for fading text colors, but I don't know if there's a plugin out there that could fade a CSS property.

Well i managed to get it to fade the CSS background colour (using the plugin i think) but it dosn't seem to work for the border.
