Getting this message when i try and add a rar file

Quote:The file upload failed. Please choose a valid file and try again. Error details: The attachment could not be found on the server.

For rar Mime type :- application/octet-stream
Also tried application/octet-stream as well


My upload folder is Chmoded correctly to 777


How can i fix this error please can't work it out?

Ok this is fixed now i reChmoded my upload folder again to and it worked 777?

It was on this to start with as i checked.

Weird ?

How exactly you solved this problem?! Sad I have this problem on my new host. I increased the maximum upload size in php.ini from my host side. All attached files will be corrupted!! Sad

I'd suggest to not use forum's attachment system for huge sized files.
they can get corrupted while uploading / downloading ...

I attached a pdf file: only 1.25MB
ZIP, PDF and RAR all of them are corrupted.
attachment settings:
